Some truths your body wants you to know…

The following post is an adaptation from Zakiya's popular "Love Your Body Challenge"

Dear Dragon,

On this 17th day of loving your body, i’d love for you to think about these truths today.

When you’re reading them this first time around, i’d like you to say them out-loud. This is so that your mind is not the only one receiving the information; Your mouth would be speaking it into existence, and your ears internalising the message. Ironically, through this process of speaking out the words,  your sense of taste and touch would also be activated as these words fall all over your body.

Your Truths:

  • 1.

  • If I did whatever makes me happy, my body will not transform into something ugly and worse.

  • 2.

  • My body is not a sign of weakness and failure.

  • 3.

  • I don’t need to hold back and play small anymore

  • 4.

  • I do not need to limit myself, the things I love, and punish my body,  to avoid feeling abandoned and lonely.

Think about this today, Dragon…
